Guests in spaces

Where do guests leave their personal boards when they’re at the bar? Is it out of direct sunlight? Is it safe? Can staff members be rewaxing or checking the board for repairs while the guest is actively doing something else?

How do guests get their bags from the parking lot to the front desk to their room? Is there a spot to leave bags while checking in? Is there space in the room to store a board bag?

Where do you think guests will be sitting down to eat? Does the furniture need to be water proof? Is the space shaded? Do they need a water fountain nearby?

Where do you think potential lines will occur? Is this space shaded? Is there room for friends and family to wait while the main guest is handling a transaction?

Thinking through each step of the process will define how you need to layout your spaces.

Not thinking through each step means costly redesigns and rebuilds, and frustrations amongst staff and guests.
